Constant weeding, bare patches, discoloration, watering - isn't there another way to enjoy my garden...now there is!
The brief was to create a low maintenance lawn for this nearly 80 year old couple.
The first stage is to strip the lawn of its old lawn with a turf cutter and dispose of the 3 and ½ tons.
Next level the surface and clean around the edges. A layer of sharp sand is then added and compacted down with a heavy plate compactor.
A weed control membrane is the pinned down to stop weeds.
The 125kilo grass roll is then rolled out and squared off.
Then we painstakingly cut and trim the lawn to shape.
Large green headed nails are then used to keep the grass in place.
A quick fluff up with a rake and hey presto
A lovely soft lawn that will look good in any weather.
PS: if you want you can hoover it :-)
